Learning at Home and in Hospital

Our university and high school volunteers support our students struggling with chronic illness, both at home and in the hospital, helping them with their studies long-term.

Our professional team prepares our peer helpers through multi-day training, and continuous case discussions support them in confidently and competently assisting their students.

We Connect Stakeholders

We involve and support all stakeholders whose cooperation is needed for the return journey from hospital to school, which often spans multiple academic years.

We connect and educate volunteers, doctors, educators, and family members to help with school reintegration alongside learning. We support classroom communities in gaining a deeper understanding of their sick peers’ situations through unconventional homeroom lessons.

We Work Towards Systemic Change

Over more than 10 years, KórházSuli has built a complex knowledge base that provides a comprehensive solution for the educational rehabilitation of chronically ill children.

Currently, we help 500-550 children annually, but the problem affects thousands.

Our mission is for every affected person to receive help, which requires systemic change. Therefore, our Methodological Center supports the development of stakeholders and the system through knowledge sharing and policy work.
