Although we can provide therapeutic lessons free of charge to families in need with the help of volunteers, the professional organization and sustained provision of hospital and home-based education for 500 children annually across school years, along with the salaries of our professional team and associated experts, constitute the most significant portion of our annual budget.
We consult in detail with every parent who contacts us to provide personalized assistance for their child.
We connect the volunteer with the school teacher and, when necessary, coordinate with the treating physician so they can jointly support the seriously ill student’s learning and recovery.
We help families navigate the maze of rights and opportunities so they can exercise the benefits and entitlements available to ill students.
We reach our volunteer helpers twice a year through nationwide recruitment involving high schools and universities, and we maintain ongoing contact with our community of several hundred volunteers.
We screen and train applicant volunteers, supporting them with methodological tools and case discussions
to ensure high professional standards.
We establish and maintain hospital study rooms in child psychiatric wards. The work of volunteer helpers and mentors is supervised by our professional team.
Through special homeroom sessions, we prepare the class community to welcome their returning ill classmate with understanding, openness, and naturalness.
In our methodological workshops, we demonstrate practical solutions to teachers so they can confidently support students facing physical or mental challenges and their class communities.
We stand by the children and their families throughout the year: we organize meetings and joint programs where shared experiences help process the difficulties caused by illness and provide a supportive community.
